Green Cabbage

Green cabbage has wide leaves that are pale green. The texture is slightly rubbery and most green cabbage needs to have the outer layers discarded. Raw green cabbage has a slight peppery flavor, which becomes sweeter when cooked. One head of green cabbage can weigh up to 10 pounds.

Green cabbage is best known for its vitamin K content. Vitamin K is important for bone health and can regulate the mineralization of bone production. It also plays a major role in blood clotting. Without vitamin K, the body would not be able to recover from even minor scrapes.

Temperature:32 degrees is the best temperature for storage of green cabbage.
