Kohlrabi Fries with Sweet Chili Mayo

 
 

Ingredients

French Fries:

2.5 lbs. Consalo Family Farms Kohlrabi, stems removed

2 tbsp canola oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ancho chili powder

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

¾ tsp salt

Sweet Chili Mayo:

6 tbsp Full Fat Mayonnaise

4 tsp Sweet Chili Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Cut the kohlrabi into french fry shapes. 

  3. Place kohlrabi fries on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  4. Place kohlrabi fries in a bowl and toss with canola oil, garlic powder, ancho chili powder, black pepper and salt, coating the fries. 

  5. Grease a large sheet pan with canola oil. 

  6. Place the kohlrabi fries onto the pan, spreading them in a single layer. 

  7. Bake the fries for 15 minutes, then turn them with a spatula. 

  8. Place back in the oven and bake another 15 minutes or until the outside of the fries are lightly brown. 

  9. Prepare the mayo by mixing the ingredients in a bowl. 

  10. Serve with the kohlrabi fries.
